This week my group and I finished our final project. We worked together to show the world our take on today’s songs and their 80s counterparts. Many songs included Calvin Harris, Rihanna, and many more.

We broke down each song and discusses the differences between the two time periods. We talked about synthesizers, instruments, and everything in between. We decided to post this story on both YouTube and SoundCloud. We thought that it would be the best way to reach our audiences.

Below is the sound cloud version of our show where we dissect today’s music and their 80s remix.

Next, thanks to James, we have the video version of our show. This took some time to complete, as did the audio, but it was a great time overall. The video turned out great, and I think you’ll get a kick out of it. It is split into two parts.

I had a great time with this group. We work well together. We came up with topics that we enjoyed, we produced a show that we care about, and we were able to complete everything with no hiccups or headaches. It truly was an enjoyable experience, and if I had the opportunity to work with these people again, I would.

Thanks for such a great semester everyone. This class has always been a goal of mine to take at the University of Mary Washington, and I was finally able to do so on my last semester. I’ll always remember the skills and not so perfect but adequate projects I was able to produce with my time here. I hope everyone moves on to bigger and better things.

Thanks for everything.

Weekly Summary – Week 10

Hey, everyone.

This week my group and I set ourselves up to create a video next week. We will be going for a post-COVID-19 documentary feel with a touch of comedy. I am working with the same group that completed the radio show some weeks back and I have absolutely no doubt that we can’t create something very great. Below is the trailer that will showcase, hopefully, exactly what we are looking to produce!

Here is the blog post where this video and our initial progress was recorded:

Also, I completed a daily create. I know I was supposed to create two of them, but I just could not find the time. I started a business and in lieu of the current world affairs, it has taken most of my time.

Here is the blog post where this daily create was featured:

Video Project Progress

Hey, everyone.

The group that I was a part of for the radio show that we did a couple of weeks ago is back at it again! We decided as a collective to band together once again to form a video.

Our topic is going to be post-COVID-19. We will be creating a fictional story about what we think the world would be like post-COVID-19 with a twist of comedy. We started the week off by meeting virtually and discussing the details. The video itself will have a documentary-comedy feel to it that will not only describe the events of 2020 and COVID-19 but do so in a way that hopefully makes the viewer chuckle quite a bit. It will be, hopefully, an interview-based process that will be edited together to tell the story. James Fendley will be our editor, and the rest of our group will assist.

I started off the process, like everyone else, creating a trailer. This took no time at all and I had the help of a friend to create quite the masterpiece.

It just gives a teaser for the events that occurred and also a touch of comedy to entertain the user. The sound and clips shown there hopefully make it fun to watch.

Next week our group will band together and create the best video the world has ever seen. See you then.
